Optimize Your Packaging

Have you ever bought something just so you can keep the box? A friend of mine showed off her Valentine’s day chocolate on her social media page, and I knew immediately that I had to write a blog about it. I have a sweet spot design more than a sweet tooth for chocolate, so I didn’t even care about the candy inside. After a quick Google search, I was hit with the stickers shock— I had no idea that chocolate could be so fancy! Still, I keep going back to my cart to look at it… I really like the packaging so much I might just cave and show my self a little self-love post-Valentine’s day.

You’re dying to know—what is it?! I am currently entranced by the collection “Sacred Love- The Alchemy of Chocolate: Egypt,” which is the limited-edition Valentine’s Day collection from Vosges Haut Chocolat. I hope we all had a favorite ancient civilization growing up and personally, I am a sucker for anything Ancient Egypt. I love the dominant indigo and violet color schemes on the boxes. The designs also touched on several of the 2021 packaging trends as it is driven by a story and features symmetry, geometric patterns, technical drawings. Arguably, it even ticks the vintage box, although it blows past the Victorian era a few thousand years.

As far as which is my favorite, it’s a toss up between the Bastet heart-shaped box featuring glorious geometric wings and the Self Love Chocolate Bombalinas with the wise three-eyed jaguar. On the latter you can see the small ribbon which allows for easy opening of this sturdy rectangular box, which was just made to reuse for hairpins, lipsticks or other secret treasures. If there is a secret admirer out there who wants to show their appreciation for my blogs, our address is at our website and I’m sure my husband wouldn’t mind.
