ForeFront Packaging’s bowling team, playfully named “The Bowling Stones,” took home the trophy for being the Highest Fundraising Team at the DuPagePads Rock & Bowl. 2023 was the 21st year for the annual bowling fundraiser to benefit DuPagePads and its mission to end homelessness in DuPage County. DuPagePads is the largest provider of shelter and services for families and individuals experiencing homelessness, connecting them with resources for housing, employment, and other support services.
To participate in the Rock and Bowl, teams of five bowlers register and work together to raise a minimum of $500 in team fundraising for DuPagePads. For the last four weeks, ForeFront team members Nathan, Bryan Joseph, Michele, Marlesha, and Marlesha’s boyfriend, Hasani, have been actively reaching out to work colleagues, friends, and family to solicit donations for the cause. Michele and Bryan Joseph embraced their competitive spirits, attempting to outdo each other, and each ended up placing on the top three highest individual earners of the entire event!
By the day of the event, Saturday, April 15th, 2023, The Bowling Stones had collected 46 donations totaling $3,680! Bryan Joseph was the 3rd highest fundraising individual at $1,020. Michele Wollaston raised a staggering $1,900, surpassing her personal goal of $1,600, and settling as the 2nd highest fundraising individual. B.J. Maley of Phi Alpha took first place in the individual category, raising $2,400.
Altogether, the DuPagePads Rock & Bowl raised $13,875 of the $30,000 goal. All bowlers received a -tshirt, pizza, ice cream, and a chance to win raffle prizes. Bryan Jospeph won a Cubs bowling bag! As he plays on a local bowling league, this bag will come in handy. (He said he was just glad it wasn’t a Sox bag!)
Our trophy will be proudly displayed at ForeFront Packaging’s headquarters in Oak Brook, IL. While are thrilled to have made such a significant contribution to this worthy cause, and it’s not too late to give!
